In this recovery, the owner of a Caterpillar backhoe locked it up at a job site in Queens and discovered it missing when the crew came back to work the next morning. Just five minutes after the LoJack system was activated on a stolen 2007 Yamaha YZR motorcycle, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s Air-7, Parks Bureau police and the California Highway Patrol tracked the signal to a self-storage complex. They gained access to the complex and located and observed one male suspect stripping the victim’s stolen motorcycle.

A stolen, LoJack-equipped 2010 Takeuchi TB235 Mini Excavator was tracked by three different North Carolina law enforcement agencies to a farmhouse in Johnston County. There, officers found 11 other pieces of stolen equipment worth a total of $150K+. Warrants charging those involved are pending. Nice work by law enforcement!
