The Albuquerque, NM residents in this case discovered their Scion tC missing from their home’s driveway on a recent Wednesday morning. The LoJack® system that was installed inside the car helped local law enforcement recover it in less than two and a half hours after activation.

On February 5th, 2014, the Scion’s owner contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the tC, which was installed at Wondries Toyota in Alhambra, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, an officer with the Albuquerque PD picked up the silent homing signal from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The Scion was located parked and abandoned in a residential area. After a brief surveillance, the tC was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owners.
