The owner of a Honda Accord in Pueblo, CO, left his vehicle running and unattended while delivering newspapers on a very early Friday morning. Unfortunately, he was victimized by a fellow early-bird who stole his car. The LoJack® system installed in the Accord came to the rescue, helping local police recover it safely that same day.

On February 7th, 2014, the Honda’s owner reported the incident to Pueblo Police. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the NCIC state and federal crime computers.  This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Vidmar Motor Company in Pueblo, CO.

Minutes later, Pueblo PD officers were picking up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Honda parked and abandoned in the area of 7th and Jackson Streets, where it was parked and abandoned. The Accord was retrieved and quickly returned to its rightful owner.
