On May 22, 2012, the owner of a 2008 Suzuki GZXR 600 discovered the motorcycle stolen from Old Forge Lane in the Odenton area, and quickly reported the crime to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. After verifying the theft, Anne Arundel officers had the Suzuki’s information entered into the state and federal crime computer systems, which activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the motorcycle.

A short time later, patrol officers with the Anne Arundel County Police Department began to receive the Suzuki’s silent LoJack homing signal on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer installed in their police vehicles. Following the directional and audible signal from the LoJack Tracker, the officers quickly tracked the vehicle to back to the Old Forge Lane area, where the motorcycle was found secreted in a parking spot. The motorcycle ignition was damaged at the time of recovery. Police notified the owner of the recovery, and the vehicle was released to the owner at the scene.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Suzuki motorcycle at the new buyer’s request in June of 2008.
