At LoJack, we deliver peace of mind even at dizzying heights! The story goes on the evening of September 3rd, 2011, when the owner of the a 2011 Chevy Camaro was at the SeaWorld Aquatica Theme Park in Orlando, FL. While on one of the rides, as the ride reached its highest point, the owner observed two females entering his car in the parking lot.
Upon exiting the ride, he immediately went to the lockers where he had placed his backpack containing his car keys, iPhone and his iPad. The door to the locker was open and the backpack was missing. He immediately contacted Security at the park to report the theft.
One of the Security personnel was an off-duty Orange County SO Trap Team member who took the report and had it entered into the NCIC police computer.
The Trap Team Deputy then went to his patrol vehicle and immediately picked up the silent LoJack homing signal with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer installed in his vehicle. Using the directional and signal strength indicators on his tracking unit, he located the Camaro parked in a hotel parking lot less than one mile from the theme park. The keys were still in the car but the backpack with the phone and iPad were missing.
The vehicle was recovered with no damage and returned to the very happy owner at the theme park.
